We’re the FIRST Robotics Competition team of YTU Maçka Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Since 2015, we’ve been inspiring our community through engineering, science, and social impact.

At MAT Robotics, our goal isn’t only to be a competitive robot team — it’s to inspire the people around us through the unifying power of science and technology. Beyond lasting national and international success in robotics competitions, we aim to raise wider social awareness.
Our core mission is to help young people accomplish shared tasks through cooperation, have fun while learning, and develop respect for one another along the way. We want our students to grow into innovative people who benefit society — gaining not just technical skills, but leadership, responsibility, and teamwork.
2026: We reached the playoffs at the Haliç Regional. In May 2026, we captained the 4th alliance at the İBB Off-Season, a 35-team event.
2025: We became the first team in Turkey to win the Rising All Star Award, at the Istanbul Regional. In partnership with YTÜ, we hosted and organized the FRC Week 0 off-season event.
2023: We competed in the lower semifinal, finishing among the tournament’s top 6 teams.
Alongside our competition robot, our ongoing projects give back to our local community and the FIRST family.

We noticed how few girls take part in FIRST from vocational high schools. Together with 11 partner teams, we’re encouraging girls already at these schools to get involved in FIRST.
